Our Services

Colorado Wildfire Defence (CWD) provides wildfire risk assessments and code-aligned defense planning for homes and communities in Colorado’s Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI).

We begin with a comprehensive wildfire assessment, evaluating ember exposure, ignition pathways, defensible space, and structural vulnerabilities based on real fire behavior—not cosmetic checklists. From there, we develop clear, buildable mitigation plans that prioritize the highest-risk conditions and align with evolving state guidance, insurer expectations, and local requirements.

Our services focus on:

  • Wildfire risk assessments and written mitigation reports

  • Defensible space and fuel-reduction planning

  • Ember-resistant design and hardening specifications

  • Water-based and sprinkler defense planning where appropriate

  • Code interpretation and scope development for HOAs and communities

CWD operates as a design and consulting firm, allowing homeowners, HOAs, fire districts, and general contractors to execute mitigation work confidently using a clear, defensible scope—without guesswork or overbuilding.

Wildfire Maintenance Preparation

Our ongoing home maintenance services are designed to keep your property wildfire-ready year-round. We provide seasonal gutter cleaning to remove flammable debris, clear roofs and eaves, and inspect vulnerable areas for ember entry points. We also remove dry material from around the foundation, decks, and outbuildings. Optional services include the application of non-toxic, fertilizer-based flame retardant to wood surfaces and surrounding vegetation. These maintenance visits are typically scheduled twice per year—before and after wildfire season—and ensure your home remains protected, compliant with insurance guidelines, and prepared for sudden wildfire threats. Consistent upkeep is key to long-term wildfire resilience.

Class A Fire Rated Exteriors

At Colorado Wildfire Defence, we specialize in the expert installation of Class A fire-rated exteriors—including decking, siding, roofing, windows, and doors—with a focus on full-system protection. Unlike typical contractors who install fire-rated materials but overlook hidden vulnerabilities, we take a comprehensive approach. We ensure every component, from underlayment and house wrap to flashing and venting, meets the highest fire resistance standards. Our team is trained to spot and address weak points where embers can enter or ignite nearby surfaces. It’s not just about using Class A products—it’s about installing them intentionally, with precision, and for real wildfire protection.

Brush and Tree Mitigation for Defensible space

Creating defensible space is a key part of wildfire preparedness, and our brush and tree mitigation services help reduce ignition risk near the home. We remove dead branches, overgrown shrubs, and ladder fuels that can carry fire from the ground to your structure. Low-hanging limbs are trimmed, and we clear flammable debris from under decks, around foundations, and along fences. While our primary focus is structural protection, this vegetation management supports the overall wildfire defense strategy. Our team follows best practices to create safe buffer zones that slow wildfire spread and give firefighters a better chance to defend your home.

Wildfire Sprinkler Systems

We now offer custom-designed wildfire sprinkler systems to help protect homes, businesses, and public buildings from ember ignition and radiant heat. Our systems include both permanent roofline installations and deployable rental kits that saturate vulnerable surfaces like roofs, decks, and vents. Built for manual activation and focused on structure-first protection, these systems are ideal for high-risk wildfire zones. Whether you're preparing your home, a mountain cabin, or a government facility, Colorado Wildfire Defence delivers practical, code-aligned solutions you can rely on when fire season strikes.
